QuillBot has seven paraphrase modes. Grammarly has a writing assistant. Both are useful. Neither rewrites into a voice that sounds like a specific person. Penshift does — paste a writing sample, we mirror its sentence rhythm, vocabulary level, and idiosyncrasies.

Most AI tools rewrite into the same neutral, marketing-flavoured register. Penshift rewrites into your voice — from a sample you give us, or from how you write inside the tool. The output should sound like the person who pasted it, not the system that processed it.
AI can rewrite faster than you can. It cannot guess what you mean from too little context, and it cannot tell you the truth about whether your essay will pass a detector. We surface uncertainty instead of hiding it. The detector says “likely human” or “mixed signals”, not “100% bypass guaranteed”.
There are tools whose entire pitch is helping students cheat. Penshift is not that tool. The Humaniser exists because human writers sometimes draft with AI and want their actual voice to come through afterwards. If your school, journal, or publisher requires original human work, write it yourself.
